A Kamloops man has cracked the Top 10 at the 2022 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Aaron Duczak is among 10 players left standing seven days into the event, which has a prize pool of more than US$80,000,000.

Duczak was sitting in fourth place in terms of chip count on Thursday morning. He is the only Canadian in the Top 10.

More than 8,600 players entered this year’s World Series of Poker, which had a $10,000 buy-in.

The event is taking place at the Horseshoe Las Vegas Hotel and Casino, formerly known as Bally’s.
