Meet Adnan Zafar, the “Ken Doll” who has Taken Over the Influencer Scene in Dubai

We had the opportunity to sit down recently with Dubai’s most famous influencer, Adnan Zafar. Zafar told us he was born in a city in Pakistan named Faisalabad, and was raised by a strong single mother whom he calls his “rock.” His mother provided him with a very decent life, but he always knew he had bigger dreams for himself, and in order to fulfill them he had to move to a bigger place. Although Pakistan is rated top 10 in the world when it comes to its population of handsome men, men aren’t into participating in the beauty industry, and getting botox and fillers is a very taboo subject. Zafar felt misplaced because he had always been very much into self-care and grooming, and had gone as far as winning many “best-groomed” titles in school and later in college. This is when he knew he had to relocate to the more fashion-forward city of Dubai, in the UAE.
“The idea of becoming a real-life ‘Ken Doll’ arose when I would attend parties as an influencer, and people would praise my ‘perfect’ jawline, and my ‘perfectly-shaped’ body, and they just started calling me ‘Ken Doll.’ Although I have never claimed to be ‘perfect,’ I went along with the ‘Ken Doll’ branding because I realized it helped me attract the beauty market, like a magnet,” explained Zafar.
The influencer says that ever since he became a lifestyle ‘brand,’ the doors of every clinic have opened up for him, as many people follow his beauty routines that he actively shares on instagram. “I always make sure to be very careful when it comes to selecting a clinic to do my beauty treatments, as I believe in quality over quantity. I am very proud to say that I have never gone under the knife, but I have always been a big fan of needles,” admitted Zafar.
With his hard work in the lifestyle and beauty industry the ‘Ken Doll’ has become a male ambassador for so many world-famous brands, like Bioderma, Foreo, and IS Clinical, amongst many more. “I am the face of Dubai’s best beauty clinics, like Obagi Medical Spa, VLCC, and Proderma Aesthetics, and I have even worked with the famous jewelry brand, Pandora, because the way I present the brand’s items changes the whole idea and encourages other men to use those items that normally would be for women. My goal as an influencer is to bring positivity and inclusiveness to the industry, and let gentlemen out there know that it’s ok to take care of your appearance, and it’s ok to look great and be happy in your own skin,” said Zafar.

Zafar goes on to explain that his social media presence has inadvertently turned him into a paid videographer, as the top skillset he showcases when making his own video content for brands who sponsor him, have made many people reach out to him in order to hire him for videography services. “I believe the social media market is always in competition, so I go above and beyond, and I’m very well known for my content and my videography skills. I love adding different types of transitions to my videos, and I make sure that brands feel valued working with me, whether it’s a restaurant, a clinic or I’m promoting items, like beauty products, I take great pride in going the extra mile, and my clients say that I never fail to impress them with my incredible video production skills,” said Zafar.
